HIDE Bistro

Heaton, Newcastle Upon Tyne
THE BRIEF
Our client procured a new hospitality property to add to their growing portfolio, and asked us once again to produce still imagery as we had done for them for a previous project. They stated that images reflecting daytime and evening atmospheres were required as both represented different sales areas.
THE SOLUTION
Creating both versions is second nature to Space VR, and we recommend that clients with suitable venues commission such images. Every time we set about creating CGI’s we’re constantly pushing illustrative techniques, in this case it was the bevelling of the vertical tiles on the back bar by manipulating the way we created the textures. Only a small detail, but indicative of the steps we take to create images better than the competition and that help to bring your vision to life.
THE RESULTS
Along with the wider-angle images, we produced close-up detail renders that work incredibly well and are often used on marketing literature, menus and websites, and is something we’ve started including in every suitable project. Our determination to always push the quality of our deliveries is at the heart of our business, and that can only be an advantage to our clients. This particular client was extremely happy with our delivery and immediately brought us in onto another project.

Clothing Retailer - London
spacevr_curate
THE BRIEF
Our new retail client asked us to quote for producing a city centre still image of their new large clothing store in the heart of London. This was only one of many owned by this client so they understood the process and knew exactly what they wanted. We had to move very quickly as the client had been disappointed with a previous image they had commissioned which had taken longer than expected.
THE SOLUTION
As often occurs, the images we produce have many uses. Not only as a design tool to show the necessary people within the company, but also to be used to aid in the planning process, on exterior site signage as well as promotional online material.
THE RESULTS
A very problem free project finished within 2-3 days with minimal amendments. The client was extremely happy with our turnaround time and our attention to detail. For missing information within the reference we were given, we improvised with what we have learned through experience, something the client appreciated.

Heritage Bar
spacevr_curate
THE BRIEF
Our client purchased a brand-new ground floor unit in the centre of Newcastle’s developing business area beside the famous St. James’ Park football stadium. They requested visual representation that offered a wider view of the venue, showing both a quality city centre bar to the front of the venue, and to the rear, a more sports-orientated space with food and beverage table service.
THE SOLUTION
We advised a 360 panoramic. This is when we set the CG camera up in such a way to produce a full 360-degree render that can then be manipulated in such a way as to allow the user to see the whole space by navigating around the view from a fixed point.
THE RESULTS
A 360 panoramic is an incredibly useful way to see around your entire space from a fixed point. They require more modelling as everything in the view is visible, but the benefits are that the clients will get a more complete appreciation of the venue not always possible from still images. Another benefit of a 360 panoramic is that they’re extremely straightforward to produce compared to CG animations and V.R, making it a very cost-effective option offering an all-encompassing view.

Thorpe Thewles Housing Development
spacevr_curate
THE BRIEF
Thorpe Thewles is a new high-end housing development for which our client needed visual representation to acquire funding and for online marketing.
THE SOLUTION
Still Image Creation.
We suggested still images for this project due to the number of units in the development. Often, we’re asked to produce those images without a full breakdown of every design facet such as landscaping and final material and design decisions to boundaries and fencing. With our experience we’re able to confidently add these missing assets to compliment the scheme without further interaction from our busy clients.
THE RESULTS
Every CGI company needs to be able to produce quick, accurate and effective exterior images for housing developments. At Space VR we pride ourselves in this field, understanding exactly what the client is looking for, and can be relied upon to deliver fantastic images.

Hadrian’s Coffee and Deli
spacevr_curate
THE BRIEF
A major development in Birmingham led to the client requesting a CG record of a large modern coffee shop space along with other amenities for the residential apartments attached above.
THE SOLUTION
Still Image Creation and Animations.
For such a large development we recommended still images and a full area animation. Animations can showcase a large amount of space relatively quickly, more than still images, of which it would take a considerable amount to cover the area.
THE RESULTS
For this project we used a new 3D programme called Twinmotion. This is a real-time visualisation tool that allows us to quickly produce high quality images and animations. Traditionally, CG imagery production can be a long process, but Twinmotion has been specially designed to bypass this and give the illustrator more immediate feedback. The still image rendering process is almost instant instead of hours, and animations take only minutes rather than days to output.

RESIDENTIAL HOME
spacevr_curate
THE BRIEF
Our client needed some CG still images to market their property portfolio online, and in printed brochures advertising panels.
THE SOLUTION
Still Image Creation.
When time is a factor, rendered CG images are often the most cost/time effective choice. Our experience and continuing technological researching allow us to rapidly output such images using trusted and reliable lighting, modelling and texturing techniques. We also have an immense asset library, and fully developed 3D textures. This will massively reduce the time it takes to create these scenes and results in a much more cost-effective product to the client.
THE RESULTS
Images such as these are our ‘main stay’ and something in which we have long extensive experience. We know exactly how to achieve effective, rapidly produced images that explain the story with minimal involvement from our busy clients which they appreciate.

Dalziel Terrace
spacevr_curate
THE BRIEF
The client asked us to create imagery for their new exterior garden terrace. We wanted to adopt a warm interior feel when designing the lighting and adapt it to an outdoor social environment that customers saw as an extension of the clients existing interior space.
THE SOLUTION
Still Image Creation.
After consulting with the client, we decided that still CG imagery would best suit their needs in the time available. Next was to establish what time of day we’d set for the illustration. A bright midday sun is more usual, but we wanted to convey more of an evening feel to reflect a relaxed and more mature atmosphere. To achieve warm evening lighting we used a photograph of a sunset to act as a light source to subtly illuminate the scene generally with reds and purples.
This gives a wonderfully soft and atmospheric effect without harsh shadows, fitting the time of day. Details on the tables were picked up with warm point lights located where we thought appropriate.
THE RESULTS
We like to think this computer generated still image has achieved that warmth and cosy feel. Soft general lighting and detail spotlights make a very effective pipeline when creating atmospheric, welcoming hospitality areas.
