Luxury Living Space

Month: January 2024

THE BRIEF

We were recommended to our new client who needed artist impressions of their new property for planning then for marketing purposes, primarily online but also in the press. This was their first venture using CG imagery and they looked to us for guidance as to how things worked. They needed the images to capture the open plan nature of the design, focussing on the natural lighting available through floor to ceiling windows.

THE SOLUTION

We suggested still images and 360 panoramas. These give a rotational, all-encompassing view of the property from one or more positions. We created 3 camera positions and linked all three together allowing you to move to each position with a click of the mouse from a desktop computer. These can also be viewed through our headsets giving an extremely immersive experience. These can be uploaded to a client’s own online marketing media accounts or a link can be sent directly to a customer.

THE RESULTS

There is an increasing list of different CGI delivery available to clients. 360 panoramas have been around for a while, but they still offer an incredibly informative visual experience for surprisingly little extra creative work than a standard CG still image requires. Adding more linked 360 images is extremely easy, leading us to believe this visual route is second only to full Virtual Reality. The client was extremely satisfied with the results, having never seen this option, and has other properties for which they require a similar visual treatment.

Pemberton Carvery - Ramside Hall Hotel

Month: January 2024

THE BRIEF

Our long-standing hospitality entrepreneur client wanted to refurbish their Pemberton Carvery at Ramside Hall in Seaham. Due to the large scale of the interior they wanted a CG delivery that gave more visual information than simply still images.

THE SOLUTION

As time was a factor we immediately suggested 360 Panoramas and still CG imagery. 360’s are an incredibly effective way of representing the entire room, and something Space VR has a huge amount of experience in. They are produced in exactly the same way as a still CG image, the only proviso being that due to the 360 rotational abilities of this visualisation, the entire room needs to be photo realistically modelled. Once that is completed the software to bring this amazingly immersive experience to a Virtual Reality headset or viewed on a PC is relatively straightforward. For areas in the space not covered by the panorama we backed up the presentation with supplemental renders.

THE RESULTS

We presented the 360 Panorama to the client on a VR headset. This was a major project so it was vital the aesthetics and functionality of interior design, headed up by our sister company Space I.D, was fully signed off. Our client was extremely impressed with the results and progressed the project immediately to the design package stage and site commencement.
